Art is an everyday activity. In my case at least. The more I paint, the more I want to paint. I had this funny idea about oil paint: My brushes get dirty, my hands, it takes so long to dry, etc.

And then lockdown happened! I almost finished all my acrylic paint and only have  two colours left now. None of them is white!

BUT I have lots of oil paint. So I started to paint, using oils. Oooh! What a joy! It smells nice, it is flexible. It takes a long time to dry, yes, that is true, but while it's drying, you and your painting can still be in conversation. It gives you time to change whatever you are not happy with. And that is wonderful!

I played with the idea to paint something different namely ABSTRACT paintings. I discovered that there is someone who likes certain types of art. Every single piece of art will find an owner.

"Every artist plays a different and necessary part in contributing to the overall health, development, and well-being of our society. Art is about connecting with people’s emotions. It’s personal and at the same time, universal. Everybody hurts. Everybody loves. Everybody hopes. And, everybody dies. Mainly, art is about our own sense of mortality." The artist's role in Society

My passion and joy is to play with paint. I had no idea what I wanted to paint when I started. It turned out to look like abundance!

More realistic. Black and white only.
Black evokes power, luxury, elegance, professionalism and simplicity. It's bold, powerful and a little mysterious. White, an inherently positive color, is associated with purity, virginity, innocence, light, goodness, heaven, safety, brilliance, illumination, understanding, cleanliness, faith, beginnings, sterility, spirituality, possibility, humility, sincerity, protection, softness, and perfection.
