Art is therapy

The actual art-making process can bring about a release of tension and is therefore therapeutic in its own right.  Art is closely aligned to play and should be fun!
Here are my latest paintings, hope you all enjoy it as I did!
Risk more than others think is safe. Care more than others think is wise. Dream more than others think is practical. Expect more than others think is possible.
Waterpaint and water soluble pencils on 190gsm paper.
Maybe Jacobsbaai at the West Coast, maybe Hartebeestpoortdam in the North West Province of South Africa…..or maybe just another peaceful painting from my imagination. Who knows? ;-)

Run through fields of flowers with balloons in your hands while you can!
Acrylic on hardboard. Children in South Africa.

I’d rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck. ~Emma Goldman
A watercolour painting straight from my garden. (Gauteng, South Africa) My daisies and roses are soulmates and give me so much joy!! A touch of God’s glory to enjoy in this life.
I used watersoluble pencils for the background.

I painted two “stick-figure”-children a while ago. One of my friends here in my hometown in South Africa has three children. Two boys and a girl. So she ordered another brother…and here he is!

Acrylic on hardbord. I used Bostic glue to draw the legs and arms.

Buy a throw pillow on RedBubble, lovely for any child's room!
